The following are some unsolicited comments from our clients. Femas Protection Services is now rebranded to GLICO UK.
"We are very impressed with staff's helpfulness and flexibility. They behave in a professional manner and assisted [L&Q] in every way that they could."
"I was extremely impressed with the security officers who worked on our site. Their professionalism was second to none and they looked the part too. The manner in which they swiftly dealt with minor scuffles was excellent as their speed diverted a possible riot. You will note that the Police were also very impressed and they backed off and kept a low profile as your staff had it all under control. We received positive feedback from the Chief Commissioner of Police, other Senior Police officers and Senior Councillor Officers."
Mike Jervis, Waltham Forest Council.
"This is to confirm that Femas Protection Services are the official security company that Defending da Hood uses at its entire event. Femas Protection Services staff are extremely professional and efficient in their approach. They provide a visual presence and look smart in their uniforms. They observe the event very closely and usually predict any possible scuffles. Any issues which may arise are dealt with swiftly and discreetly. The young people have built up trust and respect for Femas staff and as a result, there is no trouble at these events. Femas planning and risk assessments cover any eventuality and this thorough attention to detail further compliments the work which we do. The police do not attend these events by mutual agreement as they also trust Femas to deal with the capacity of the event. Defending da hood is a partnership between London & Quadrant Housing Trust, London Borough of Waltham Forest, Ascham Homes, CBHA and the Metropolitan Police. The Defending da Hood committee would highly recommend the services of Femas Protection."
Pam Millington, formerly of London & Quadrant Housing.
"Before Femas was hired the Beaumont Estate experienced a vast amount of anti-social behaviour, however, since their placement the situation has improved immensely. I would recommend Femas Protection Services as a company to be used in these kind of circumstances."
Richard Southall, Forest Homes.
After a raid of 50 police officers on two tower blocks with the aim of clearing out gangs of known crack users and dealers in East London, Femas Protection Services (now known as GLICO Security) were employed to carry out 24 hr security, seven days a week.
Prior to GLICO Security's intervention, a climate of fear and intimidation had taken over the blocks. However, GLICO Security's zero tolerance approach to drug crime, vandalism and theft meant that residents felt much safer after a few months of their presence.
